Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has once again been recognised for its outstanding teaching in the field of auditing. In the Manager Magazin ranking, it achieved ninth place nationwide in the universities of applied sciences category. This makes H-BRS one of only six universities of applied sciences to be included in the top 10 three times in a row.

More than 80 auditing firms and almost 1,400 of their clients took part in the biennial "Germany's Best Auditors" survey. The university was already ranked in the top 10 in 2020 and 2022 - this year, as in 2022, with an  A-rating. Even though H-BRS now finds itself in ninth place after two seventh places, Professor Wilhelm Schneider sees the results as thoroughly positive:

"We are delighted to be among the top ten universities for the third time in a row," says the holder of the Chair of External Accounting and Business Taxation at the Rheinbach campus. "H-BRS has been able to steadily increase its score over the last three rounds. The gaps to the respective top universities and universities of applied sciences have shrunk significantly. This is a really good result for us, especially considering the ongoing reconstruction work in Rheinbach," says Schneider.

"We would also like to congratulate our long-standing cooperation partner, Aachen University of Applied Sciences, on its third place," adds the professor. The "Qua-Arc" (Quality in Accounting - Aachen Rheinbach Community) project has been a cross-chair collaboration between H-BRS and FH Aachen for over 20 years. Together, the universities pursue the goal of preparing students perfectly for their future careers.

With the Top University seal in the University of Applied Sciences category, the university has now demonstrated for a further two years that it offers future auditors an outstanding academic education.

The study

With this ranking, Manager Magazin aims to provide prospective students with guidance when choosing a university. The study was carried out together with Dietmar Fink from the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (WGMB). Fink is also Professor of Management Consultancy and Development at H-BRS.
